A warm welcome from the mountain hut "Fojedöra"
The alpine pasture is idyllically nestled in the Ladin mountains,
which tower over the villages of San Vigilio di Marebbe, Valdaora, and Braies.
The alpine pasture offers a retreat for those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers,
and is located away from the main tourist hubs.
With its small hut in a typical alpine village and its expansive pastures,
the plateau is a natural and unspoiled gem of the Dolomites.
Our main activity is tending to the alpine livestock that spends the summer with us.
However, we also look forward to welcoming and serving hikers at our alpine tavern.
The abundance of grazing livestock and the rich biodiversity around the Fojedöra Hut,
as well as the authentic alpine life, allow our guests not only to experience the alpine world through its cuisine
but also to gain an impression of the life of the alpine herders, their work, and the beauty of the simple life.
